Tim Wright is a Buccaneer once again.

Tampa Bay claimed the tight end off waivers on Friday, less than one year after trading him to the New England Patriots.

The 25-year-old caught 26 passes for 259 yards and six touchdowns while appearing in all 16 games with the Patriots in 2014. He was waived by the Patriots on Thursday.

Wright was acquired from the Buccaneers in exchange for Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins and a fourth-round draft pick (used to select defensive end Trey Flowers) last August.

Wright caught 54 passes for 571 yards and five touchdowns as an undrafted rookie with the Bucs in 2013.
