WINNIPEG — Filip Chlapik set up the tying goal, then scored the winner 35 seconds into overtime as the Belleville Senators edged the Manitoba Moose 3-2 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.
Gabriel Gagne tied the game 2-2 at 17:04 of the third period for the Senators (4-4-1), who trailed 2-0 after a period of play. Ben Sexton put Belleville on the board in the second period.
Mike Sgarbossa and Peter Stoykewych scored in the first to give the Moose (4-3-2) a two-goal lead, with Buddy Robinson picking up an assist on each goal.
Danny Taylor made 37 saves for Ottawa's AHL affiliate while Michael Hutchinson stopped 34-of-37 shots for Winnipeg's minor league team.
Both teams went 0 for 2 on the power play.
