Wilfried Zaha's brief Manchester United career was a flop, but the 26-year-old forward could be prepared to rewrite history.

The Telegraph's Jason Burt reports the Cote d'Ivoire international is interested in a return to Old Trafford if the situation were to arise.

Zaha has made it clear to Crystal Palace that he would like a move away from the club, but the Eagles would place a stiff transfer price on the player who scored 10 goals in 34 Premier League appearances this season in the neighbourhood of £100 million.

Zaha joined United from Palace in 2013 as Sir Alex Ferguson's final signing, but endured a miserable spell with the Red Devils, making just four appearances over two seasons before a return to Selhurst Park.

Arsenal is also believed to be interested in a forward who can play wide, but could seek a cheaper option in Bournemouth assist machine Ryan Fraser.

In 323 appearances for Palace over nine seasons, Zaha has 53 goals.
