BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Gabriel Dumont scored a hat trick to pace the Syracuse Crunch past the Belleville Senators, 6-2, Monday in the American Hockey League.
Cole Koepke added two markers of his own for Syracuse (20-18-5) in the victory.
Defenceman Zac Leslie scored a goal and added an assist for the Senators (21-20-0).
The game entered the second period tied at 1-1, but come the second, Syracuse ended up racking off three straight goals before Belleville finally answered on Leslie's goal.
That wouldn't be enough to stop the Crunch's onslaught, however, as Dumont scored his second goal of the game with less than 30 seconds to play in the second period.
He then found the back of the net again early in the final third.
Syracuse goalie Hugo Alnefet made 28 saves for the win.
