TORONTO — Francis Perron scored the winner in the third period and Andrew Hammond made 32 saves as the Belleville Senators topped the Toronto Marlies 2-1 on Tuesday in American Hockey League action.

Ethan Werek had a power-play goal in the first period for the Senators (12-16-3), who snapped a four-game skid.

Andrew Nielsen opened the scoring on the man advantage for Toronto (22-9-0). Calvin Pickard stopped 13 shots in defeat.

Belleville was 1 for 2 on the power play and the Marlies converted on their lone opportunity.
