Hellebuyck strong as IceCaps down Pirates
Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 35 shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the season as the St. John's IceCaps edged the visiting Portland Pirates 1-0 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 35 shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the season as the St. John's IceCaps edged the visiting Portland Pirates 1-0 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.
Will O'Neill scored the game's only goal at 7:45 of the second period while the IceCaps (20-22-7) were on the power play. Brenden Kichton and Kyle MacKinnon each picked up an assist.
Mike McKenna turned aside 25-of-26 shots for the Pirates (26-19-3), who beat St. John's 8-1 only one night earlier.
The IceCaps went 1 for 5 on the power play while Portland failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
