JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without middle linebacker Paul Posluszny against Indianapolis on Sunday because of hand surgery.

Posluszny had three plates inserted into his right hand on Wednesday after breaking it last week at Tennessee. The Jaguars (4-8) believe he might play next week against Atlanta with his hand heavily wrapped.

Second-year pro Jordan Tripp will make his first NFL start against the Colts.

It will be Posluszny's second missed game this season. When the ninth-year pro sat out against Tampa Bay with an ankle injury in October, the Jaguars allowed 183 yards rushing.

Posluszny says "there's nothing worse than missing games. I just want to make sure I take advantage of the opportunities I can because I don't know how many more I'm going to have."
