ERIE, Pa. — Nicholas Baptiste had a pair of goals and Devin Williams stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Otters shut out Sarnia to win their first-round playoff series 4-1.

Dylan Strome, Travis Dermott and Connor McDavid all had a goal and two assists for Erie. Patrick Murphy and Jake Marchment rounded out the attack.

Taylor Dupuis turned away 42 shots for the Sting.

GENERALS 3, PETES 2

The Oshawa Generals are off to the second round of the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.

Matt Mistele scored twice, including the winner in the third period, as the Generals edged the Peterborough Petes 3-2 on Friday night to take the series 4-1.

Hunter Smith added a power-play goal for Oshawa, which got a 20-save performance from Ken Appleby.

Greg Betzold and Matt Spencer chipped in with goals in the second for the Petes. Matthew Mancina turned away 47 shots in the loss.

The Generals went 1 for 8 with the man advantage while Peterborough scored twice on six chances.

RANGERS 6 KNIGHTS 3

LONDON, Ont. — Ryan MacInnis had two goals and two assists as Kitchener held off elimination by doubling up the Knights in Game 5 of their first-round playoff matchup.

Frank Hora also scored twice for the Rangers with Brandon Robinson and Darby Llewellyn adding the others.

Max Domi, Julius Bergman and Matt Rupert found the back of the net for London, which leads the series 3-2.

Kitchener hosts Game 6 on Sunday.

ICEDOGS 8 67's 3

OTTAWA — Brendan Perlini scored twice and added an assist as Niagara routed the 67's to take a 3-2 series lead in first-round playoff action.

Mikkel Aagaard, Billy Jenkins, Jordan Maletta, Anthony DiFruscia, Graham Knott and Carter Verhaeghe rounded out the attack for the IceDogs.

Jeremiah Addison, Travis Konecny and Travis Barron found the back of the net for Ottawa.

Niagara will have a chance to advance on Sunday when they host Game 6.
