QUEBEC — Pierrick Dube scored the winning goal on a power play and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens beat the Quebec Remparts 3-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action Sunday.

The Sagueneens took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five quarterfinal series and can complete the sweep Monday night in Quebec City.

Artemi Kniazev had a power-play goal for the Sagueneens and assisted on Dube's second-period winner. Xavier Labrecque also scored for Chicoutimi.

Nicolas Savoie and Kassim Gaudet scored for the Remparts, who led 2-1 after the first period.

Alexis Shank made 22 saves for Chicoutimi, while Thomas Sigouin stopped 24 shots for Quebec.

ISLANDERS 7 TITAN 5

SHAWINIGAN, Que. -- Cedric Desruisseaux scored twice as the Charlottetown Islanders took a 2-0 series lead over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

The game was tied 4-4 in the second period when Desruisseaux, Sam Oliver and Drew Elliott scored three unanswered goals for the Islanders.

Charlottetown outshot Acadie-Bathurst 35-21.

Ben Allison netted two goals, Riley Kidney had four assists and Bennett MacArthur added three helpers for the Titan, which got a 28-save performance from Jan Bednar between the pipes.

Colten Ellis turned aside 16 shots for Charlottetown.

The Titan will attempt to stave off elimination during Game 3 Tuesday night.
