SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Patrick Guay scored twice as the Sherbrooke Phoenix peppered Antoine Coulombe with 40 shots to pick up their fourth straight victory with a 5-2 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Saturday.

Guay struck the game-winning goal for the Phoenix at 6:01 of the second period.

Nathael Roy, Alex-Olivier Voyer and Oliver Okuliar also scored for the Phoenix (11-8-2).

Mathieu Boulianne and Anthony Imbeault scored for the Cataractes (5-14-0).

Brendan Cregan turned away 17 shots for Sherbrooke.

Both teams were scoreless on the power play, with the Cataractes and Phoenix going 0 for 1 and 0 for 2, respectively.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Jimmy Huntington scored twice as Rimouski rallied for a close win over Gatineau.

Dmitry Zavgorodniy capped the Oceanic's comeback with a third straight goal after falling behind 2-0, knocking in the winner for Rimouski (11-9-1) at 18:07 of the second period. Connor LePage and Charles-Antoine Roy put the Olympiques (9-10-3) ahead with two markers just after the midway point of the first period.

Carmine-Anthony Pagliarulo turned away 10 shots for Rimouski. Tristan Berube kicked out 31 shots for Gatineau.

HALIFAX — Samuel Asselin had two goals and three assists, and Cole McLaren made 29 saves for the shutout as Halifax pummelled Acadie-Bathurst.

MONCTON, N.B. — Alexander Khovanov scored 46 seconds into overtime as Moncton edged Chicoutimi to pick up its second straight win.

Jeremy McKenna, Brady Pataki and Simon Le Coultre also scored for the Wildcats (16-4-2). Justin Ducharme, Xavier Labrecque and Zachary Lavigne replied for the Sagueneens (10-6-5).

VAL-D'OR, Que. — Ivan Chekhovich scored four goals and added an assist as Baie-Comeau thrashed Val-d'Or to move to within one point of a two-team tie atop the QMJHL standings.

D'Artagnan Joly scored twice, while Tyler Hylland, Yaroslav Alexeyev, Jeremy Michaud, Nathan Legare and Shawn Element also found the back of the net for the Drakkar (16-5-1). Maxence Guenette scored the lone goal for the Foreurs (6-13-3).

HUSKIES v. ARMADA — POSTPONED

Boisbriand, Que — The game between Blainville-Boisbriand and Rouyn-Noranda has been rescheduled because of a "technical issue" at the Centre d'excellence Sports Rousseau.

The QMJHL tweeted that the game will be pushed back to Jan. 23 in Boisbriand. The Huskies (17-4-0) sit tied atop the league standings with the Moncton Wildcats, while the Armada (10-9-1) have lost two straight and are fifth in the Western Conference.
