SYDNEY, N.S. — Ryan Francis scored two goals as the Saint John Sea Dogs cruised to their ninth win straight with a 5-1 win over the Cape Breton Eagles.

William Dufour scored his 52nd goal of the season and also assisted on a goal in the Sea Dogs (41-17-4) win.

Nicholas Girouard scored Cape Breton's (13-41-7) only goal as the Eagles are now winless in their last nine games.

Josh Lawrence and Raivis Kristians Ansons each recorded two assists for Saint John.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Xavier Bourgault scored the overtime winner at 3:15 of the extra frame to give Shawinigan (37-22-4) the win over Quebec (45-15-2). Olivier Nadeau scored two goals for the Cataractes in the victory.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Xavier Simoneau scored two goals, including the game winner, as part of a four-point night to lead Charlottetown (42-12-7) past Rimouski (31-22-9). Luka Verreault had two goals and three points for the Oceanic in defeat.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Loick Daigle scored his second goal of the game with just 1:09 left to play to send Victoriaville (22-33-7) to win past Drummondville (28-23-11) in a see-saw affair. Daigle opened scoring in the game just 1:17 into the contest and from there both sides exchanged goals until Daigle and the Tigres finally had the last laugh.
