BATHURST, N.B. — Alexander Khovanov had a goal and two assists and the Moncton Wildcats scored five times in under six minutes in the first period to defeat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 8-1 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Brady Pataki, Mika Cyr, Jordan Spence, Jonathan Aspirot and Jack Tucker found the back of the net for the Wildcats (4-3-0) between the 3:55 and 9:47 marks in the first period.
Jakob Pelletier and Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier also scored for Moncton. Khovanov's goal made it 7-1 with 6:03 left to play.
Michal Ivan had the lone goal for the Titan (3-4-0).
