Alameda, CA - The Oakland Raiders announced Monday that they have re-signed safety Charles Woodson for next season.

Woodson, 38, was set to be a free agent in March after re-signing with Oakland on a one-year deal last year.

He had a career-high 113 tackles in 16 games for the Raiders this past season and added one sack, four interceptions and eight passes defensed.

It was his second season back with the Raiders after seven with Green Bay. Woodson, who was drafted No. 4 overall by the Raiders in 1998, has 929 tackles, 60 interceptions and 20 sacks in 17 NFL seasons.
