Ray Rice’s attempt at a comeback to the NFL may have gotten a boost Monday.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a national anti-violence group is advocating the former Baltimore Ravens running back get another chance in the NFL.

The co-founders of A Call To Men, an organization that encourages men to end violence against women, have both said they believe Rice deserves another chance after working with the running back since November, according to the report.

"We have been around a lot of abusive men, but our experience with Ray has been tremendously positive," Porter said this past weekend, according to ESPN. "We feel strongly about him having the opportunity of having a second chance. He's deserving of it."

Rice has been out of the league since the Ravens released him in the wake of a security video showing him strike his then fiancé and now wife in an elevator.
