TORONTO — Rinat Valiev's second-period goal stood as the winner as the Toronto Marlies beat the Binghamton Devils 3-1 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.
Andrew Nielsen and Frederik Gauthier, into an empty net, also scored for Toronto (35-11-1), which picked up points for the 15th straight game (14-0-1). Jeremy Bracco had two assists.
Ben Thomson had the lone goal for the Devils (13-24-9).
Marlies goaltender Calvin Pickard made 15 saves. Binghamton's Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 25 shots.
Neither team scored on the power play. Toronto was 0 for 5 while the Devils were 0 for 3.
