John Bowman is returning for a 14th season with the Montreal Alouettes.

"I will be playing [football] this season. One more chance at that cup," Bowman tweeted Monday evening.

Bowman's announcement comes after speculation that he would retire, telling CFL.ca in October that he was "98 per cent done." Now, it appears he isn't.

Bowman has spent the last 13 seasons with the Montreal Alouettes. He had 32 tackles and five sacks in 14 games in 2018 with the Als.

The 36-year-old registered a career-high 19 sacks in 2015.
