CALGARY — Riley Fiddler-Schultz scored on the power play 3:39 into overtime to lift the Calgary Hitmen over the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-3 in a penalty-filled affair in the Western Hockey League on Sunday.

Zac Funk, Grayden Siepmann and Sean Tschigerl also scored for the Hitmen (7-7-0), which have won two straight. Fiddler-Schultz and Tschigerl each added two assists.

Ethan Buenaventura made 28 saves for the win.

Corson Hopwo and Lukas Svejkovsky each scored one and assisted two for Medicine Hat (4-7-4), which is winless in its last seven games. Garin Bjorklund turned aside 43-of-47 pucks.

Both teams took several penalties. The Tigers were 3 for 6 on the power play while the Hitmen finished 2 for 11.

Calgary outshot Medicine Hat 47-31.

WINNIPEG – Nineteen saves from Daniel Hauser and a four-goal second period saw Winnipeg (17-1-0) reinforce its top spot in the league with another lopsided victory. Saskatoon (11-6-1) lost for the second time in two days to the Ice.
