Wisconsin star running back Melvin Gordon is entering the 2015 NFL draft.

The redshirt junior announced his intention to turn pro in an interview Wednesday on "The Dan Patrick Show."

A Heisman Trophy finalist, Gordon leads the FBS with 2,336 rushing yards and is tied for first with 29 touchdowns. He became the fastest player in FBS history to reach 2,000 yards, doing it in 241 carries.

Gordon rushed for a then-FBS record 408 yards against Nebraska on Nov. 15. His record was broken seven days later by Oklahoma freshman Samaje Perine.
