Brett Cecil is returning to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays activated the 28-year-old reliever from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Cecil was placed on the disabled with a groin injury after struggling against the New York Yankees on June 18.

In 32 appearence with the Jays this season, Cecil has a 0-3 record with a 3.76 ERA.

In a corresponding move, the team optioned outfielder Anthony Gose to the triple-A Buffalo Bisons.

Gose has a .229 average with five RBI's and no home runs in 44 games with the Blue Jays this season.
