DETROIT - Miguel Cabrera left Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays in the fourth inning with a strained left calf.
Cabrera was on first base with no outs and a 3-2 count to Victor Martinez, and took off with the pitch. Martinez fouled the ball off, but Cabrera pulled up sharply, grabbing his left leg. He was attended to by trainers and limped off the field.
He was replaced by Andrew Romine with the Tigers leading 1-0, and Detroit said Cabrera will have an MRI.
