Following a successful scouting combine in Mexico, the CFL is now strongly considering having another international combine in Germany sometime this off-season, according to TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor.
For the first time in league history, the CFL held a scouting combine outside of Canada on Sunday as Estadio Azul stadium in Mexico City hosted dozens of the country's best football players in an effort to showcase their talent to Canadian teams and to grow the game.
CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie as well as a handful of CFL general managers and coaches were in attendance at the Mexican scouting combine.
"For so many, if they finish their junior career or college career and they're not on a CFL roster then there's kind of nowhere to go and their dream ends," Ambrosie told the Canadian Press. "I think that's a tragedy. This is really about growing the game of football."
Here is the order for the CFL's Mexican Draft slated to take place on Monday, according to Naylor.
1 - Eskimos
2 - Redblacks
3 - Alouettes
4 - Argonauts
5 - Tiger-Cats
6 - Roughriders
7 - Lions
8 - Blue Bombers
9 - Stampeders
