Thomas Milic made 36 saves for the visiting Thunderbirds.
In other Western Hockey League games, the Moose Jaw Warriors topped the Red Deer Rebels 4-3 in overtime, the Kamloops Blazers beat the Prince George Cougars 4-3 in a shootout and the Spokane Chiefs dumped the Tri-City Americans 7-3.
