Former New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and Montreal Canadiens forward David Desharnais has signed with Lokomotiv of the KHL.

The 31-year-old Desharnais spent last season with the New York Rangers, finishing with six goals and 22 assists in 71 games.

Desharnais spent the majority of his time in the NHL with the Habs, and had 87 goals and 195 assists in 524 career games.

Two other players with NHL experience signed in the KHdL on Monday as well. Winger Iiro Pakarinen, who spent four seasons with the Oilers, signed with Magnitka. And Patrice Cormier, a former Winnipeg Jets centre, signed with Barys Astana.
