Ottawa Senators

Defenceman Mark Borowiecki will have an MRI on his foot after injuring it in Tuesday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes according to TSN's Brent Wallace.

He has three assists in 38 games this season.

Cody Goloubef and Darren Archibald have been recalled from the AHL's Belleville Senators. Head coach Guy Boucher will decide later on Thursday which one will play tonight against the Detroit Red Wings.

Vancouver Canucks

Goalie Jacob Markstrom is expected to get the start tonight against the Los Angeles Kings unless the issue that prevented him from playing on Monday flares up again, reports TSN 1040's Jeff Paterson.

Markstrom looked good Wednesday night against the Anaheim Ducks, stopping 21 of 22 shots in a 1-0 loss.

Here are the expected lines:

Leivo-Pettersson-Boeser

Roussel-Horvat-Virtanen/Goldobin

Granlund-Gaudette-MacEwen

Eriksson-Beagle-Motte

Hutton-Stecher

Tanev/Brisebois-Gudbranson

Pouliot-Biega

San Jose Sharks

Sharks defenceman Erik Karlsson has missed the past eight games with a lower-body injury and it appears the streak will stretch to at least nine.

Karlsson was on the ice for the club's morning skate Thursday but is not expected to suit up tonight against the Washington Capitals according to head coach Peter DeBoer.

Karlsson last played on Jan. 16 and has three goals and 40 assists.

Detroit Red Wings

Left winger Martin Frk has cleared waivers and will be assigned to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.

“I just want to play,” Frk said Thursday before figuring out his destination. “If I have to go to the A, I will go to the A. This season was so far really horrible for me. I just want to enjoy hockey, I don’t want to be here sitting in the stands. I feel that has been so long.”

He has spent the last four games as a healthy scratch.

Minnesota Wild

Head coach Bruce Boudreau said Thursday that Victor Rask is dealing with a lower-body injury while Matt Hendricks has an upper-body injury. Both forwards are considered day-to-day.

Meanwhile, injured forward Pontus Aberg could take the morning skate Friday but would not be ready for their game against the New Jersey Devils as he continues to recover from a lower-body injury.
