Braden Holtby says his eye is back to normal after he was hit in the eye with a stick in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He is expected to start tonight against the New York Islanders. He sat out the team's back to back set of games to recover as backup goalie Pheonix Copley was in net.
Vancouver Canucks
Nikolay Goldobin will be a healthy scratch tonight for a second straight game. Thatcher Demko is making his second-ever NHL start. Elias Pettersson will miss his fifth straight game. Tonight's possible lineup:

Head coach Claude Julien hints that Matthew Peca could take Paul Byron's place in the lineup tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Byron is currently serving a three-game suspension for charging at Florida Panthers defenceman MacKenzie Weegar. In 27 games this season, Peca has 10 points but hasn't played since Jan. 8 in Detroit, as he has been a healthy scratch.
Calgary Flames
Defenceman Travis Hamonic is back on the ice this morning for the Flames' optional skate. Rookie defenceman Jusso Valimaki is also skating. He hasn't played since Nov. 23 due to an ankle injury. Valimaki has appeared in 22 games with the Flames this season, recording two points.
Dallas Stars
The Stars have recalled forward Denis Gurianov from the AHL's Texas Stars. He has 31 points (11 goals, 20 assists) in 29 games with AHL Texas. Gurianov has three points (one goal, two assists) in 11 games with Dallas this season.

Boston Bruins
The Bruins have announced that forward Anders Bjork had surgery on his left shoulder. He is expected to miss five to six months. Bjork has not played since Dec. 30 and his rookie season last year also ended by shoulder surgery. He had three points (one goal, two assists) in 20 games with the Bruins this season and 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in 13 games with the AHL's Providence Bruins.
Philadelphia Flyers
Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher has given updates on the statuses of four players. Goaltenders Brian Elliott and Michal Neuvirth are rehabbing and there is no timetables for their returns. Elliott hasn't played since Nov. 15, while Neuvirth last appeared on Jan. 3 against the Carolina Hurricanes. Forward Corban Knights continues to recover from an upper-body injury and has appeared in just three games this season. Prospect Samuel Morin has yet to play this season since undergoing ACL surgery and has been cleared to go full tilt.
