The Kansas City Chiefs have started Super Bowl LV with a win.

As the designated road team for the game, Kansas City had the honours of calling the coin toss prior to kickoff of their Super Bowl game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Team captain Travis Kelce made the correct call of heads.

After winning the toss, Kansas City chose to defer and kickoff to start the game.
