SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped 31 shots as the Toronto Marlies snapped a three-game slide with a 3-1 victory over the Springfield Thunderbirds on Saturday in American Hockey League play.

Adam Brooks, Jeremy Bracco and Dmytro Timashov supplied the Marlies (26-18-8) offence.

Tomas Jurco scored while Samuel Montembault kicked out 41-of-44 shots for the Thunderbirds (21-22-10), who are on a six-game winless streak.

Toronto went 2 for 5 on the power play while Springfield was 0 for 1 with the man advantage.
