CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped all 22 shots he faced as the Toronto Marlies blanked the Charlotte Checkers 5-0 on Sunday afternoon in American Hockey League action.

Josh Jooris's first-period goal was the eventual winner for the Marlies (21-15-5), the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Adam Brooks, Jeremy Bracco, Pierre Engvall and Sam Jardine rounded out the attack for Toronto.

Scott Darling made 32 saves for Charlotte (30-10-4).

Both teams were 0 for 6 on the power play.
