Klimchuk scores twice to lead Senators past Comets

UTICA, N.Y. — Morgan Klimchuk had back-to-back goals in the first period as the Belleville Senators topped the Utica Comets 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in the American Hockey League.
Darren Archibald's goal at the 6:20 mark of the second period was the eventual winner for Belleville (19-23-2), the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators. Cody Goloubef also scored in the second and Max McCormick added some insurance with an empty-net goal in the third.
Marcus Hogberg made 21 saves for the win.
Evan McEneny and Zack MacEwen gave Utica (23-18-4), the minor league club for the Vancouver Canucks, a 2-0 lead by the 7:48 mark of the first period. Michael Leighton stopped 24-of-28 shots for the Comets.
The Senators went 2 for 3 on the power play and Utica was 1 for 3 with the man advantage.
