Wide receiver Bryan Burnham is staying in Vancouver.
The BC Lions announced Sunday the 2016 Canadian Football League West Division All-Star has signed a two-year deal with the club.
“Bryan enjoyed a breakout season last year and his return is great news for our team and our fans,” GM and head coach Wally Buono said in a team release. “Our offence made a lot of progress last season and keeping it intact will give us a very good starting point in 2017.”
A product of Tulsa, Burnham has spent the past three seasons with the Lions.
Burnham, 26, appeared in 18 games for the Lions in 2016. He had 79 catches for 1,392 yards - making him the league's fourth-leading receiver - and six touchdowns.
“I have loved my time in Vancouver for the past three years and I’m very happy to be back,” Burnham said in the Lions' release. “The Lions gave me the opportunity to play the game I love so much and I’m excited about our team and the direction we’re going.”
