Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Marlins activated pitcher Brad Hand from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday.

Hand, who had been sidelined since May 24 with a right ankle sprain, will start Thursday's game against the Phillies.

The left-hander was 0-1 with a 6.38 ERA in 16 games, including two starts, before landing on the DL. In six rehab starts between Single-A Jupiter and Triple-A New Orleans, Hand went 2-0 with a 2.38 ERA, striking out 36 and walking 11 in 34 innings.

Also Thursday, the Marlins placed pitcher Tom Koehler on the paternity list and outrighted outfielder Brent Keys to Double-A Jacksonville.
