The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract with defenceman Otto Leskinen.

The 22-year-old Finland native spent the 2018-19 season with the Liiga's KalPa Kuopio, where he recorded 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists) in 57 games with 34 penalty minutes.

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound defenceman has played in 178 career games with Kuopio since making his professional debut in 2015-16.

An undrafted free agent, Leskinen participated in the Habs' development camp in June 2018.
