Count Green Bay Packers defensive end Datone Jones among those suspended by the NFL on Thursday.

Jones received a one-game ban for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Jones made three starts and played in 13 games last season, registering 1.5 sacks.

The 24-year-old was a first-round pick of the Packers in the 2013 NFL Draft. He notched 3.5 sacks in his rookie season while appearing in all 16 games.

The Packers will have the option to pick up Jones's fifth-year option next summer. Green Bay will open their season against the Chicago Bears in Week 1, Jones will be eligible to return Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks in a rematch of last year's NFC Championship Game.
