Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise said he is feeling healthy following a fractured sternum that knocked him out of the playoffs last season.

"I don't anticipate that being a problem," Parise told the Twin Cities Pioneer Press before adding he thinks he is back to 100 per cent.

"It feels good."

Parise closed the season on a tear for the Wild, but was knocked out of Game 3 of their first-round matchup against the Winnipeg Jets with a fractured sternum.

Parise is participating in a weekly four-on-four league frequented by many NHL players and while there isn't much contact, he said it felt good to be back out there.

"It was good. “I’ve been skating for awhile, so it wasn’t my first time or anything like that," he said.

“It was nice to feel normal again on the ice,” Parise said. “That was the biggest thing for me. It had been a while. That was nice. That was relieving. I’m looking forward to doing that again next season.”

Parise scored 15 goals for the Wild in 42 games last season.
