Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray left practice early on Monday and is being evaluated, according to head coach Mike Sullivan.

The Penguins did not disclose the nature of Murray’s injury.

The 23-year-old has appeared in 41 games this season and posted a 23-13 record with a 2.82 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.

General manager Jim Rutherford said later that Murray would have to be looked at again on Tuesday before any call can be made on his status.

"He’s going to be evaluated again in the morning and then we’ll have a better idea of whether he’s going to be able to play tomorrow night."
