NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Predators have signed defenceman Alexandre Carrier, their fourth-round pick in the 2015 draft, to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Predators announced the deal Thursday.

A native of Quebec, the 19-year-old Carrier currently is playing in the QMJHL and has 15 points in 17 games for the Gatineau Olympiques. He tied for third with 55 points last season. The Predators made him the 115th pick overall in the draft in June.

The 5-foot-11, 174-pound Carrier helped Team Canada win the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and a bronze medal at the 2014 Under-18 World Championship. His brother, Samuel, was the 176th pick overall by the Washington Capitals in 2010.
