MONCTON, N.B. — Defenceman Noah Dobson looked quite comfortable in his new colours.

Felix Bibeau scored twice and Dobson added three assists in his debut with Rouyn-Noranda as the Huskies beat the Moncton Wildcats 5-1 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The 19-year-old was acquired by Rouyn-Noranda at the Jan. 6 trade deadline from Acadie-Bathurst for five draft picks, including three first rounders. He played his last game with the Titan on Dec. 8 before joining Canada's world junior team over the holidays in Vancouver and was playing a QMJHL contest for the first time in over a month.

Louis-Filip Cote, Justin Bergeron and Peter Abbandonato also scored for the league-leading Huskies (33-7-1), who have won three straight.

Jakob Pelletier's goal wasn't enough to help the struggling Wildcats (24-14-5) avoid their fourth loss in a row.

Samuel Harvey made 25 saves for Rouyn-Noranda as Francis Leclerc turned away 29 shots for Moncton.

The Huskies went 2 for 4 with on the power play while the Wildcats failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.



BATHURST, N.B. — Filip Prikryl struck at 2:37 of overtime to lift Saint John over the Titan.

Benjamin Gagne, William Poirier and James White also scored while Zachary Bouthillier made 18 saves for the Sea Dogs (10-29-3).

Jesse Sutton, Liam Leonard and Mathieu Desgagnes replied for Acadie-Bathurst (7-32-2). Mark Grametbauer turned away 28 shots in defeat.



SYDNEY, N.S. — Kevin Mandolese stopped all 37 shots that came his way as Cape Breton halted Halifax's point streat at six games.

Egor Sokolov, Shawn Boudrias and Shaun Miller supplied the offence for the Screaming Eagles (25-14-3).

Alexis Gravel turned aside 20 shots for the Mooseheads (29-9-3), who entered on a 5-0-1 run.



QUEBEC CITY, Que. — Pier-Olivier Lacombe broke a 1-1 deadlock at 6:59 of the third as the Remparts dealt Victoriaville its sixth loss in a row.

Aleksei Sergeev also scored for Quebec (18-15-8), which got 27 saves from Kyle Jessiman.

Olivier Mathieu was the lone scorer for the Tigres (14-24-3). Tristan Cote-Cazenave stopped 26 shots in defeat.



RIMOUSKI, Que. — Jeffrey Durocher had a pair of goals as the Oceanic picked up their third straight win by defeating Sherbrooke.

Alexis Lafreniere and Anthony Gagnon also scored for Rimouski (25-13-3). Colten Ellis made 25 saves for the victory.

The Phoenix (24-15-2) were held in check by Dakota Lund-Cornish, who stopped 40-of-43 shots. Samuel Poulin had the goal.



BOISBRIAND, Que. — Drummondville went 6 for 13 on the power play and Felix Lauzon and Nicolas Guay had five points apiece as the Voltigeurs hammered the Armada.

Lauzon had three goals and two assists while Guay scored once and added four helpers for Drummondville (31-9-1). Remy Anglehart had two goals and two assists as Xavier Simoneau, Dawson Mercer, Joseph Veleno, Cedric Desruisseaux and Pavel Koltygin rounded out the offence. Olivier Rodrigue made 14 saves for the win.

Alexander Katerinakis kept the Armada (16-23-1) from being shutout while Samuel Boileau and Brendan Cregan allowed six goals each on 45 shots. Winger Alec Reid was given a major and game misconduct in the third, leading to two power-play goals for the Voltigeurs.
