CHARLOTTETOWN — Daniel Hardie was the lone scorer in the shootout as the Charlottetown Islanders edged the Saint John Sea Dogs 6-5 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Derek Gentile had a goal and two assists in regulation time for Charlottetown (5-5-1), while Hunter Drew, Liam Peyton, Kevin Gursoy and Nikita Alexandrov also found the back of the net.

Matthew Welsh turned away 30 shots and three skaters in the shootout for the win.

Robbie Burt struck twice for Saint John (2-6-2), while Josh Lawrence, Charlie DesRoches and William Poirier also scored. Alex D'Orio turned away 49 shots for the Sea Dogs.

The Islanders went 1 for 4 on the power play and Saint John was 2 for 5 with the man advantage.

BATHURST, N.B. — Alexis Gravel stopped all 30 shots he faced as Halifax blanked the Titan.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx scored twice for Halifax (8-2-0), while Jared McIsaac racked up the game-winning goal. Raphael Lavoie and Ben Higgins also scored.

Mark Grametbauer turned aside 33 shots for Acadie-Bathurst (3-6-0). The Titan's Cole Rafuse was given a match penalty for checking from behind at 4:23 of the third.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Olivier Garneau scored twice as the Oceanic beat Baie-Comeau.

Carson MacKinnon knocked in the game winning goal for Rimouski (7-4-0) at 7:50 of the second period. Alexis Lafreniere also scored for the Oceanic.

Gabriel Fortier replied for the Drakkar (8-2-1).

GATINEAU, Que. — Oliver Okuliar had a pair of goals as Sherbrooke routed the Olympiques.

Bobby Dow racked up the winner for the Phoenix (4-5-1) at 18:39 of the first period. Taro Jentzsch, Felix Robert, Julien Anctil and Benjamin Tardif chipped in as well.

Shawn Boudrias was the lone scorer Gatineau (5-5-1).

VAL-D'OR, Que. — Brandon Skubel had the decisive score as Drummondville reeled off three unanswered goals to top the Foreurs.

Joseph Veleno and Nicolas Guay also scored for the Voltigeurs (6-4-0).

Julien Tessier and Nicolas Ouellet staked Val-d'Or (2-7-1) to a 2-0 lead.
