BATHURST, N.B. — Giovanni Fiore set a franchise record with five goals in a game while also adding an assist to lead the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 7-2 on Saturday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Fiore scored three of his goals on the power play for the Screaming Eagles (17-15-3). Drake Batherson also had a power-play goal with Phelix Martineau scoring the other. Vasily Glotov tacked on three helpers.

Vladimir Kuznetsov struck twice for Acadie-Bathurst (17-15-3) with his second coming on the man advantage.

Kyle Jessiman made 33 saves for the win in net. Reilly Pickard took the loss after turning aside 12-of-18 shots in 36:26. Simon Boudreault-Belzile went the rest of the way and stopped 12 shots.

Rodrigo Abols of the Titan received a major and match penalty for slew footing in the second period.

Cape Breton finished with four power-play goals on five attempts while Acadie-Bathurst was 1 for 4.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Alex Barre-Boulet scored the winner while shorthanded late in the third period as the Voltigeurs edged Rouyn-Noranda.

Frederic Aube, Anthony Boucher and Pavel Koltygin rounded out the attack for Drummondville (15-15-3). Anthony Dumont-Bouchard stopped 27 shots.

Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Gabriel Fontaine gave the Huskies (20-8-6) a 2-0 lead in the first period. Felix Bibeau scored in the third and Charles-Antoine Poirier-Turcot kicked out 26 shots.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Nicolas Ouellet scored a hat trick as Val-d'Or routed the Armada.

Alexis Pepin and Mathieu Nadeau had two goals and an assist apiece while Etienne Montpetit stopped 17-of-19 shots for the Foreurs (15-17-3).

Alexandre Alain had a pair of power-play goals for Blainville-Boisbriand (20-10-4). Samuel Montembeault kicked out 24-of-31 shots in 45:12 before giving way to Francis Leclerc, who stopped all five shots he faced.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Zachary Lavigne scored the winner in the third period as the Sagueneens used a strong power play to rally past Baie-Comeau.

Joey Ratelle, Antoine Marcoux and Dmitry Zhukenov had power-play goals in the second for Chicoutimi (16-14-3). Julio Billia made 30 saves.

Simon Chevrier, on the power play, Antoine Girard and Matteo Pietroniro found the back of the net in the first period for the Drakkar (13-16-4). Trevor Martin turned away 32-of-36 shots.

GATINEAU, Que. — Anderson MacDonald had a hat trick that included the winner late in the third period as Sherbrooke came back to top the Olympiques.

Thomas Gregoire and Julien Pelletier also chipped in for the Phoenix (14-18-3). Evan Fitzpatrick turned away 23-of-24 shots in 47:42 of relief for the win. William Giroux started but was pulled after allowing three goals on eight shots.

Jeffrey Durocher, Daniel Del Paggio, Zack MacEwen and Vitalii Abramov supplied the offence for Gatineau (14-17-3). Mathieu Bellemare made 26 saves in net.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Maxime Comtois scored the winner late in the third period on a power play to lift Victoriaville past the Oceanic.

Charlottetown's Hunter Drew received a major penalty and game misconduct for checking to the head in the third period.
