The Toronto Raptors have clinched a playoff berth for the sixth straight season.

Toronto secured a spot in this season's playoffs after the Charlotte Hornets were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.

Prior to their current six-year run, the Raptors had made it to the postseason just five times in the franchise's first 18 years.

The Raptors, who acquired star player Kawhi Leonard in an off-season blockbuster trade with the San Antonio Spurs for DeMar DeRozan and made a host of roster changes overall, have achieved a record of 47-19 this season under first-year head coach Nick Nurse. Their record has them currently sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Toronto is now the second team in the NBA to have clinched a playoff berth, with fellow East team, the Bucks, having been the first.
