Jason Pierre-Paul will remain a New York Giant, one way or another.

According to a report from ESPN, the Giants will use their franchise tag on Pierre-Paul if the two sides can’t reach a long-term deal by March 2, the last day you can franchise tag a player.

The franchise tag number for defensive ends is expected to be around $15 million, but the Giants figure to have plenty of cap room for either the franchise tag or a long-term deal with Pierre-Paul.

The 26-year-old Pierre-Paul had one of his better seasons last year, racking up 77 tackles and 12.5 sacks. The 26-year-old has 286 career tackles and 42 career sacks in five years, all with the Giants.
