Kyries Hebert's ankle injury appears more serious than originally thought.

The veteran Montreal Alouettes defender was placed on the six-game injury list, according to a report from RDS, after it was announced earlier this week he would be out at least two weeks.

Hebert was injured in the Alouettes pre-season opener against the Ottawa Redblacks.

Hebert is in his fifth season with the Alouettes. He recorded 64 tackles and two sacks last year.
