The Toronto Blue Jays have added veteran pitcher Bud Norris to a minor league deal according to Scott Mitchell

Norris has logged 1221.1 innings during his 10-year career and has had stops with seven other teams.

The 33-year-old spent the 2018 season in St. Louis, there he appeared in 64 games had a 3.59 ERA and 28 saves out of the Cardinals bullpen.

In his first eight seasons Norris was a starter with the Houston Astros and Baltimore Orioles.

In recent years his role has seen a shift to the back end of games and made just three starts in 2017. This previous season was the first one of his career where he didn’t make a single start.

The Jays also agreed to a deal with two time all-star Clay Buchholz Thursday evening.
