Jarret Stoll’s felony cocaine charge has been dismissed, according to a report from ESPN.com.

Stoll was arrested in April for possession of cocaine and MDMA in Las Vegas, and charged for the offence earlier this month, but will instead will be charged with two misdemeanors stemming from the arrest.

According to the ESPN report, neither of the misdemeanor charges are drug related.

Stoll released a statement in light of Thursday's news, saying he hopes to provide guidance from the lessons he's learned in this ordeal.

"Now that the case has been resolved I am committed to meeting all of my obligations to the Court and am grateful for the chance to offer guidance and share positive life lessons to kids as part of the resolution of this matter. My focus remains on hockey and I am looking forward to getting back on the ice next season.”

The 33-year-old Stoll has spent the past seven seasons with the Los Angeles Kings but is an urestricted free agent this summer and isn’t expected back with the team, according to ESPN.
