CLEVELAND — Eric Robinson tallied two goals and Alex Broadhurst put the Cleveland Monsters ahead for good just under two minutes into the second period to edge the Laval Rocket 4-2 in American Hockey League action Saturday.

Calvin Thurkauf also scored for the Monsters (8-6-1-0), while Tommy Cross and Mark Letestu added two assists apiece.

Alexandre Alain and Byron Froese replied for the Rocket (6-8-1-0). Froese's marker at 1:04 of the third period tied the game at 2-2, before Broadhurst answered less than a minute later.

Jean-Francois Berube made 27 saves for the victory, while Charlie Lindgren stopped 21-of-24 shots in the loss.

The Rocket were 0 for 2 on the power play and the Monsters were 1 for 3.
