Sabres to retire Hasek's No. 39 on January 13
The Buffalo Sabres announced on Monday that they will retire the No. 39 jersey of Dominik Hasek on Jan. 13, 2015. The Sabres will be playing another of Hasek's former teams that night, the Detroit Red Wings. Hasek will become the seventh player to have his jersey retired by the Sabres.

The Buffalo Sabres announced on Monday that they will retire the No. 39 jersey of Dominik Hasek on Jan. 13, 2015.
The Sabres will be playing another of Hasek's former teams that night, the Detroit Red Wings.
Hasek will become the seventh player to have his jersey retired by the Sabres.
The 49-year-old played 16 seasons in the NHL, including nine in Buffalo. He won the Vezina Trophy six times and the Hart Trophy twice, all as a member of the Sabres.
Hasek will be inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame on Nov. 17 in Toronto.
