Toronto FC and former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are not in talks about a managerial position, according to MLSsoccer.com.

The source told MLSsoccer.com that the rumours are "100 per cent not true."

Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reported Tuesday that Solskjaer's agent revealed the two sides were discussing the position currently held by Greg Vanney.

TSN Radio's Gareth Wheeler also reports that the two sides haven't had any discussions, according to his sources.

Solskjaer, 42, was let go by Cardiff in September after his team was relegated in the Premier League and spent 11 seasons with Manchester United during his playing days.

Toronto sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and are trying to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
