Rapper Drake has confirmed that his highly-anticipated album Certified Lover Boy will release at the end of this week, sharing the LP’s cover art as well.

Drake took to Instagram to share the cover designed by famed British artist Damien Hurst, whom he tagged on the post, that features the emojis of 12 pregnant women with different skin tones and shirt colours.

This announcement comes days after Drake took over ESPN’s SportsCenter broadcast, using distorted vocals and grainy imagery in the promo to show off signs that read “CLB September 3.”  ESPN took to Twitter to address the moment.

The release of Drake’s sixth studio album has been in the works for quite a while. It follows his 2018 album Scorpion. He has been working on the project since 2019 with multiple setbacks, leading to the album being delayed from its original 2020 release date.

Just under a month ago, Drake confirmed to hosts OVO Mark and OVO Noel of Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friday radio show that the album was finished and that it was “on the way..”

Certified Lover Boy is scheduled for release on September 3.
