The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced deals on Wednesday with former Calgary Stampeders defensive end Ja'Gared Davis and national receiver Shamawd Chambers.

In 17 games for the Stampeders, Davis finished with 59 tackles, seven sacks, and two interceptions.

The 29-year-old had spent his entire three-year career with the Stamps, and has 123 tackles and 23 sacks in 45 regular season games.

Davis joins a crowded Ticats defensive line that includes nationals Justin Capiciotti and Jamaal Westerman, and international Adrian Tracy on the edge.

Chambers missed all of last season with the Ticats due to injury, but impressed in the second half of 2017 when the 29-year-old was acquired from the Edmonton Eskimos.

In seven games with the Ticats in 2017, Chambers had 28 receptions for 279 yards.
