The Washington Wizards playoff hopes took a massive blow Thursday afternoon as the team announced All-Star point guard John Wall has five non-displaced fractures in his left wrist and hand.

The team is in talks with doctors to determine the "best course of action." His playing status has yet to be determined.

Wall missed Game 2 of Washington's series with the first placed Atlanta Hawks. The second round series is knotted at one game apiece.

Wall was integral in the Wizards first round sweep of the Toronto Raptors and is averaging 17.4 points, 12.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game over five contests this postseason.

Game 3 of the series goes Saturday afternoon in Washington.
